We (Bristol Fashion) have the same rule as in paragraph 3. But really as you suggest plain common sense should preavail. COMMON SENSE, IN BARBERSHOP!! A contradiction in terms might I suggest. It is difficult though to keep ones self away from a much beloved hobby. We have a solution to the 'keeping up' problem. She's called Jenny. She is our pitch blower and she makes copious notes from our rehearsal/coaching sessions. She writes them up and they go out in our weekly notices and are also on the members page of our website. This means that at all times any member can access what has been going on musically at any time.
Does it mean we keep coughs and colds and froggy throats at bay......of course not, but I think we respect our fellow singers enough to at least try.
