From the film Working Girl, this Carly Simon song is an anthem of hope and optimism. The image of the river is seen as life moving on to new possibilities. When I arranged it, I hadn’t fully grasped how much fun it was going to be to sing, so have been pleasantly surprised by the way the arrangement comes off the page.
